Jack Wilshere’s last Premier League goal came during the 2014-15 season but the Arsenal fans’ favourite, who is currently out on loan at Bournemouth, should have ended his scoring drought this afternoon.
The former England star was presented with an open goal as he arrived at the far post with Bournemouth’s game at Watford tied a 2-2.
However, he somehow managed to miss the target, instead striking the ball against the post.

To rub salt into his wounds, Wilshere was subbed off moments later – on 74 minutes – meaning he was given little time to atone for his miss.
Wilshere’s miss cost the Cherries two points as the score remained 2-2.
