Arsenal and France international defender Laurent Koscielny has defended his compatriot Paul Pogba, according to the Mirror.

Per-the-source, Koscielny feels that too much pressure is being placed on Pogba’s shoulders and has warned France fans not to put too much expectation on the young midfielder.

Both Pogba and Koscielny have been included in the France national team squad which will take on Bulgaria and Holland this week.

The report goes onto stat that Pogba became the worlds most expensive player in the world over the summer when he made the move from Juventus to Manchester United for an incredible £89 million.

Pogba is yet to settle into life in the Premier League and has just one goal so far for the Red Devils.

“Because of his transfer and his status, we demand a lot from Paul Pogba,” Koscielny was quoted as saying by the Mirror.

“We’ve got to leave him in peace so he can progress.”

Arsenal will be hoping their star defender returns fully fit in time for the clash with Swansea City in the Premier League next week.
