Chelsea transfer news: Juve offer star defender £5million deal to fend off Blues interest

Juventus are preparing a mega £5 million per-year offer for Leonardo Bonucci in a bid to fend off interest from Chelsea, according to The Sun.

Per-the-source, the Serie A champions are hoping that a mega new deal will will stop Bonucci from making a move to the Premier League.

The report goes onto state that both Chelsea and Manchester City and interested in signing the Italy international, with a £60m offer in the pipeline.

However, Juve are keen to tie Bonucci down to an improved long-term contract, despite his current deal running out in 2020.

The Sun states that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has sent a request to the Blues chairman Roman Abramovich to sign the 29-year-old defender.

Per-the-source, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is also keen to sign Bonucci, following fitness concerns regarding Vincent Kompany.

Chelsea take on the reigning Premier League champions Leicester next weekend. Meanwhile, Mancheser City take on an in-form Everton at the Etihad stadium.
