Manchester United have taken to social media to heap praise on their young midfielder Jesse Lingard following his debut for the England national team.
The youngster has been an important member of United’s squad since Louis van Gaal promoted him to the senior side last season.
Lingard played the full 90 minutes during England’s 2-0 victory over Malta this evening.
United shared a photo of Lingard on their official Instagram page along with the following caption, “We’re proud of Jesse Lingard after his impressive England debut in the 2-0 win over Malta. Wembley seems to suit him!”
