Arsenal rumours show Arsene may have changed his ways

We really seemed to have reached “peak Wenger” in 2014, when the Arsenal manager refused to buy a single outfield player through the whole summer window, buying only Petr Cech and essentially making the statement that he totally happy with his team and didn’t think there was any way to improve it, much to the annoyance of Arsenal fans.

Things have changed dramatically since then, with several new players coming into the side to strengthen the areas that have been so weak for the Gunners in recent years. Gabriel, Shkodran Mustafi, Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka have all been added to the side in recent windows to provide real depth to Arsenal’s core.

The recent links to Juventus central midfielder Mario Lemina is proof that Arsene’s new philosophy is ongoing, and that even in a position that his side are particularly strong in now, the French manager is not willing to let his team fall significantly behind their rivals again.
