Egypt beat Congo 2-1 away in their World Cup qualification Group E game to move into first place in the standings.
Arsenal star Mohamed Elneny started for Egypt as a centre-back and helped contribute towards what could end up being a key away victory in their path to the World Cup.

In the other African World Cup qualification group, Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi scored his first senior international goal in Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over Zambia.
