Liverpool’s versatile German Emre Can, has hailed his teammate James Milner as the best penalty taker he’s seen in an interview with the club’s official website, liverpoolfc.com.
Milner has scored seven penalties from seven attempts since his move from Manchester City last summer, and doesn’t look like missing anytime soon according to Can, who says that Milner blasts them in constantly in training.
Can, who has been played in both defence and midfield for Liverpool and for Germany, is nevertheless impressed by Milner’s versatility in moving from central midfield to left-back this season.
Milner had played the position long ago at Aston Villa, but has impressed as he’s settled back into the role without any major issues. The Reds have won their last five games on the bounce, but the former Leeds player will be truly tested this week though, as Liverpool face Manchester United at Anfield on Monday night.
