Chelsea player risks being dropped after unexpected loss of form

One of the questions Antonio Conte will have been wrestling with over the international break is what to do with Willian.

Chelsea’s Brazilian winger was the sole bright spot in last year’s disastrous season, but hasn’t been nearly as consistent this term. It seems as though the pressure of carrying the team so long has finally told. He’s still had good games this term – he was the outstanding player in Blue and scored a great goal against Burnley – but has been invisible in other games.

With Eden Hazard undroppable on one side and Willian currently picks himself on the opposite side. But with Victor Moses excelling as a wing back in Chelsea’s win over Hull, their Italian coach might be tempted to drop Willian or move him inside to keep the shape. Moses looks like he’ll miss this week through injury, so Willian will have a final chance to prove himself undroppable again.
