Sports Direct has released data on shirt sales to papers including the Metro,and the list below makes for interesting reading.
Paul Pogba being top will please Manchester United’s money men, who sanctioned £109m for the Frenchman presumably hoping for good shirt sales to recoup some of that loss. The fact that Marcus Rashford is on the list after just a few months as a senior football shows how much of a hero he is to locals in Manchester already.
Cross-town rivals Manchester City do not manage to get a player on the list, despite another slew of high profile summer arrivals. All the players on the list are attackers, with the exception of David De Gea.
Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham are the other teams to feature players on the list, with Eden Hazard dropping to the bottom after a poor season and repeated links with a move abroad
