Arsenal transfer news: Three Spanish clubs line up move for Gunners ace

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is reportedly attracting interest from Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia with his current deal set to expire next summer.

The 31-year-old has yet to agree new terms with the Gunners over extending his stay further, and as the wait goes on it has continued to see other clubs linked with a move.

Since moving to north London in 2012, the former Malaga star has been a highly influential figure for Arsene Wenger’s side, as continues to play a pivotal role in their success and has two goals and two assists in seven games so far this season.

In turn, many Arsenal fans will be hoping that his future is secured sooner rather than later, with Fichajes reporting that Atleti, Sevilla and Valencia are ready to pounce if a new deal isn’t agreed.

While Diego Simeone’s side can offer a place at a team challenging for honours both at home and abroad, the two other La Liga teams in question are in the market for a player with Cazorla’s qualities and can promise to make the Spaniard a central figure in their plans for years to come.

Given his ongoing role in the heart of the Arsenal midfield though, it’s widely expected that Cazorla will pen a new deal with the Premier League giants, as he continues to form an integral part of their push for silverware alongside the likes of Francis Coquelin and Granit Xhaka.

However, many at the Emirates will remain anxious the longer the wait goes on as it will only serve to add uncertainty to the situation and allow interested parties to potentially take advantage and swoop for the Spanish ace by attempting to convince him over a return to his homeland.
