Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil was left emotional after he received birthday messages from his former teammates and Arsenal colleagues.
The World Cup winner scored Arsenal’s third goal on his 28th birthday during his sides’ 3-2 victory over Swansea City on Saturday.
Ozil was later greeted with a surprise present when he was shown a video featuring happy birthday messages from a host of world-class footballers from across Europe.
The 28-year-old’s reaction was filmed as he watched the video. Ozil was seen to be smiling, laughing and getting emotional while viewing the clip.
Ozil has scored three goals for Arsenal this season but is yet to register his first assist of the season.
Arsenal have racked up five wins in a row and take on the Bulgarian side Ludogorets on Wednesday night before hosting Middlesbrough at the Emirates stadium. The Gunners are currently joint first in the Premier League with 19 points after eight games.
