Former England international Jamie Carragher has continued the rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool via a volley of tweet with the former Red Devils captain Rio Ferdinand on Twitter.
Liverpool host their biter rivals Manchester United at Anfield tonight in the Premier League.
The duo took to social media after Ferdinand sent out a tweet goading for former Liverpool defender.
Hoping it's like this tonight @Carra23 ?? #MUFC #LFC #LIVMUN pic.twitter.com/Bo2RNutWAN

However, Carragher didn’t take the tweet lying down and fired back at the BT Sport pundit.
No chance! You did love that celebration to make sure you made the picture in the paper! BT allow you to watch all the best PL games on Sky? https://t.co/c1Nc0pOMU3

Ferdinand attempted to hit Carragher on the counter attack with a jibe at the former Liverpool star’s failure to lift a Premier League title.
Celebrations like this only come when ur en route to winning titles…. #BT #Mufc @carras23 ? https://t.co/QvAtsmqaGl

Carragher however destroyed Ferdinand in a devastating fashion by reminding him that he tried to force a move to Chelsea that season.
.@rioferdy5 @carras23 Chelsea won the league that season! Thought you'd remember as you & Peter Kenyon were trying to get yourself there? pic.twitter.com/C4xF21A9Fh
