Liverpool boss ridicules claims that Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho has become a footballing dinosaur

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ridiculed claims that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has become a footballing dinosaur.

“Who said this? It’s bull****!,” Klopp was quoted as saying by the Sun.

“No, but rubbish. Who says this?

“He has started badly at United? They won their first games.

“So now you are giving B grades for winning?”

United have not got off to the best of starts under Mourinho, losing against Manchester City, Feyenoord, Watford and drawing to Stoke City over their last seven games scoring just 11 times over that run.

Record transfer singing Paul Pogba has struggled to live up to his billing and the team on the whole simply have not performed as well as many pundits and sections of the press expected going into the season.

Liverpool on the other hand are in great form having won their last four consecutive games and extended their unbeaten run to seven matches.

The Reds have scored 22 goals over the past seven games and only Arsenal and Manchester City have scored more (19) than the 18 goals they have found this season – Arsenal and City have however, played an additional game.

Klopp has a pretty good record against Mourinho in the Premier League and pulled off a 3-1 victory in the league when Mourinho was in charge of Chelsea last season. This will be the sixth game between the two coaches with Klopp winning three and drawing once.
