The Premier League have taken to social media to congratulate Arsenal after they became the second team to pick up 1000 points at home.
Arsenal have won a total of 1002 points at their former Highbury Stadium and at the Emirates. However, the Gunners are behind Manchester United who have racked up 1103 points at Old Trafford.
Arsene Wenger’s side are currently in joint first place with 19 points after eight games.
The Premier League shared a photo of Arsenal celebrating along with the caption, “Arsenal are the second team in Premier League history to score 1,000+ points at home! The Gunners have 1,002 – Man Utd lead the way with 1,103.”
