Liverpool star Firmino was played in on goal with a defence splitting pass but Valencia managed to track his run, show explosive acceleration in being able to catch the Brazilian and made a perfectly executed tackle to cleanly win the ball.

The draw saw United remain in 7th place on 14 points. Liverpool meanwhile missed an opportunity to join Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the table but did keep their first clean sheet of the season.
