Real Madrid star Gareth Bale is one of the most highly rated – and paid – players in the world but he had not scored in the Champions League since December 2014 – 679 days to be precise.
All that changed against Legia Warsaw tonight. The Wales international scored the opening goal on 16 minutes.

Bale now has four goals and two assists in all competitions for Real this season.
Real ended up winning the game 5-1 with the other goals coming from Marco Asensio, Lucas, Morata and and an own goal from Legia player Jodlowiec.
