Laurent Koscielny is a key man at Arsenal. And he is one of the true leaders in a team that are often criticised for lacking authority.
But, alas, he is not the Gunners skipper. In fact, he’s only third in line to Per Mertesacker’s throne, behind Santi Cazorla and Petr Cech.
With Mertesacker, Cech rested and Cazorla subbed off, Koscielny got to wear the armband for just over 30 minutes in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Ludogorets Razgrad. He was chuffed, judging by his latest Instagram post.
