(Video) Kelechi Iheanacho rescues point for Man City as Pep Guardiola woes continue

Man City were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, making it five games without a win for Pep Guardiola’s men.

After frustrating draws with Celtic and Everton and defeats to Tottenham and Barcelona, City would have been desperate to put their troubles behind them and grab all three points this weekend.

However, a John Stones mistake led to the opening goal of the game with Nathan Redmond breaking the deadlock as the Saints went into the half-time interval ahead.

They were unable to hold on for the victory though as Kelechi Iheanacho scored this well-taken goal to level the scores and earn his side a point.

City pushed in the latter stages to get a winner but were unable to find a way past the Southampton defence and in turn Guardiola was forced to settle for a share of the spoils.

The result leaves City level with both Arsenal and Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table with 20 points apiece, albeit they sit top due to their superior goal difference, giving Chelsea and Manchester United a chance to close the gap when they face off at Stamford Bridge in the evening kick-off.
