Ideal Sergio Aguero replacement identified as Man City plot move for £58m-rated striker with superior goal-a-game record

Relations between Sergio Aguero and manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City have become tense and that has led to interest from multiple European clubs.

That is according to The Express, who report that AC Milan and PSG are interested in taking Aguero off City’s hands.

Aguero, 28, is arguably the deadliest striker in the Premier League, but City could be set to replace him with a forward whose goal-a-game record is superior.

The Express report that City are preparing a huge bid for Borussia Dortmund’s £58m-rated Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

City held talks with Aubameyang this summer, The Express claim, but no deal was agreed.

However, it sounds like City have refused to throw in the towel.

Aguero has started this season in fine form, scoring five goals in seven Premier League matches, as well as bagging three in three Champions League group games.

Aubameyang, 27, has also hit three in three in Europe’s no.1 club competition this term, but the Dortmund star has been more impressive than Aguero domestically, notching seven times in seven Bundesliga outings.

Both players are out-and-out goal-getters and have yet to provide and assist between them this season.
