Nathaniel Chalobah has had to wait patiently for his big break in the Chelsea first team.

The 21-year-old midfielder has spent spells on loan at six different clubs since 2012, turning out for Watford, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Reading and Napoli.

Chalobah racked up 93 league appearances during his time out on loan, but he had to wait until the start of this season to make his Chelsea debut.

And he has impressed upon his promotion to the Blues first team, so much so that he is now reportedly set to be offered a new contract.

According to the Daily Star, Chalobah is currently paid £5,000 a week, but The Mirror claim he is poised to earn a “hefty pay-day” from his new deal.

Not only has Chalobah displayed patience in waiting for his first-team Chelsea debut, he has also bided his time at international level.

Chalobah has represented England at U16, U17, U19, U20 and U21 levels – making almost 100 appearances for the Three Lions without getting a senior call-up.

However, if he continues impressing for Chelsea, a first full cap will surely be just around the corner.
