Chelsea and Manchester United were reportedly among the clubs to send scouts to take a closer look at AIK starlet Alexander Isak who is attracting significant attention from around Europe.

The teenager has scored 10 goals in 21 games for the Swedish outfit so far this season, which in turn has led to clubs from around Europe taking notice.

According to Expressen, never before have so many scouts come to an Allsvenskan game with AIK taking on Elsborg at Boras Arena with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax, Chelsea, Besiktas and Villarreal all in attendance.

Unfortunately for the 17-year-old, it was a quiet game as he was unable to have an impact in the encounter and so many clubs would have arguably left with mixed feelings about their next move.

Nevertheless, he is evidently talented and has shown his ability at a young age to even have such clubs monitoring him, and he will hope to continue his impressive form while also developing his all-round game before a big move away from Sweden.

The key for Isak and his current employers now though is to ensure that the speculation doesn’t distract him and slow down his progress.

Ultimately, there are countless youngsters who make an impression early in their careers but fail to deliver on that initial promise.

Isak will hope to avoid following a similar path, and so while transfer talk will continue to link him with a move elsewhere, given his age, he must remain focused on the task in hand and that’s helping AIK reach their objectives.
