Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored to put his side 1-0 ahead against Reading in the EFL Cup at the Emirates.

The England international has now scored four goals in all competitions this season which is his joint-highest total in a single campaign for the North London based outfit.

Chamberlain has made a total of 11 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners and also has two assists to his name.

The 23-year-old winger joined Arsenal on a £11.7 million move from Southampton in 2011 and has a total of 17 goals and 22 assists in 160 appearances since making his move.

Arsenal have won all 13 games against Reading prior to tonight’s meeting and will extend their run to 14 victories if the scores remain the same or if they extend their lead in the second half.

The Gunners are also currently joint first in the Premier League on 21 points alongside Manchester City and Liverpool – both sides are also in the EFL Cup.
