Manchester City are lining up a £20 million move for Bayern Munich full-back Juan Bernat according to the Sun.

Per the source, City boss Pep Guardiola is keen on bringing in reinforcements over January and wants players he has already established a close working relationship with.

Guardiola worked closely with Bernat during his time in charge of the German giants and was in charge of signing him from Valencia in 2014 for an undisclosed fee.

The report claims that Bernat has been added to Guardiola’s shortlist which also includes David Alaba.

Guardiola is reported to be keen on Bernat due to his versatility in being able to play as a left-back and on the left side of midfield.

Brent would be replacing either Kolarov or Gael Clichy if he were to make the move over the winter transfer window.

City are currently joint first in the Premier League alongside Arsenal and Liverpool on 21 points but are without a win in their last five games in all competitions.
