Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola have been pictured enjoying a light-hearted cuddle this evening, who would have predicted that?
The pair had a good relationship in their younger years at Barcelona, when Mourinho was a translator and Guardiola a player. Their managerial rivalry began as they faced-off as managers of Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively, and at times it became spiteful.
They now meet again, this time in charge of both Manchester clubs, and they appear to have worked on their previously frosty relationship.

It was a warm embrace and plenty of smiles between the two ahead of their EFL Cup clash this evening. It’s unlikely they will both be so cheerful come the end of the 90 minutes and one of them has been knocked out of the competition.
It’s Guardiola who has more to smile about out of the two at the moment, as his side sit top of the Premier League table – six points clear of Mourinho’s United
