Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is in favour of safe standing at games as he feels it would result in lower prices as more fans would be able to enter the stadium and that it could make for a more passionate atmosphere.

There have been calls for safe standing to be introduced in the Premier League. The Safe Standing Campaign setup by The Football Supporters Federation aims to persuade the FA, clubs and government to accept limited sections of standing areas at stadiums on a trial basis.

The campaign website claims that several clubs including Hull City, Watford, Crystal Palace, Swansea City and Sunderland from the Premier League support the campaign.
