Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s poor form takes a turn for the worse against Burnley

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has struggled in recent weeks for Manchester United, and during their 0-0 draw with Burnley things didn’t get any easier for him.

Going into the Burnley game he was already in his worst league drought since 2006, when he was playing at Inter Milan. He added another game to that dry-patch today and the manner in which he did will likely infuriate Manchester United fans.

Stats provided by WhoScored put into perspective just how poor Ibrahimovic was today. They report that he had 12 shots, nine of which were taken from inside the penalty area, but he failed to beat goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

It’s incredibly uncharacteristic from a man who scored 50 goals in all competitions for PSG last season. This sort of performance will not be unfamiliar for United fans, though, as Squawka reveal his last six Premier League games have been similarly dismal.

An unbelievable 35 shots without scoring, and not even an assist to sweeten the deal. If Manchester United have any hope of finishing in the top four this campaign, with how competitive the league is this season – he needs to buck up his ideas.
