(Image) Ilkay Gundogan poses with the match-ball after Manchester City victory

Manchester City extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table today after a 4-0 victory over West Brom.

A Sergio Aguero brace gave City a two-goal lead within the first half an hour. It was the perfect response from Aguero after he was left out of his side’s mauling at the Camp Nou.

Two of those goals were bagged by summer signing Ilkay Gundogan. His first was fired home from the middle of the penalty area with his left-foot. He then doubled his tally, finding the bottom left corner of Ben Fosters goal and rounding off a superb display from City.

Usually it’s only if you score a hat-trick you take home the match-ball, but Gundogan has no interest in traditional customs. He posed on Instagram with his “souvenir” as the City squad made the trip back to Manchester.
