(Video) Arsenal carve open Sunderland with 22 passes as Alexis Sanchez bags opener

Arsenal broke the deadlock with a wonderful team goal against Sunderland on Saturday with Arsene Wenger’s men stringing together 22 passes before Alexis Sanchez applied the finishing touch.

The Chilean bagged his seventh goal of the season after heading past Jordan Pickford following a pinpoint cross from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, as seen in the video below, via @FFPundits.

The Gunners remained patient and strung their passes together as they settled into the game and started to dictate the tempo as they look to secure all three points and go clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Having played some excellent football to gradually work their way through Sunderland, Oxlade-Chamberlain delivered the decisive ball from the right wing, and Sanchez’s movement and finish was too much for the hosts to deal with.

In their defence, David Moyes’ side responded after going behind and threatened to hit back immediately, but Arsenal appeared to weather the storm and they remain a real threat on the counter attack with the pace of Sanchez and Alex Iwobi in particular.
