Crystal Palace shared a video on the official club Instagram account documenting Strength and Conditioning coach Andy Page’s trip to learn from the training methods of NFL outfit Cincinnati Bengals.
Page revealed that there are aspects to the Bengal’s training that could crossover into football such as in the field of movement work and recovery.
Bengals equivalent coach Chip Morton meanwhile revealed that he was impressed with the average footballers cardiovascular fitness and stamina.
It remains to be seen if the training methods can crossover effectively from one sport to another but it will be interesting to see if Palace or the Bengals implement anything learned over the past week going forwards.
