Fabregas set for typically Chelsea transfer in Jan, Blues consider subsidising £156k wages as they bid to find replacement

Chelsea LOVE a loan deal, don’t they?

THIRTY-EIGHT Chelsea players are currently out on loan.

And the Blues are now reportedly ready to add Cesc Fabregas to that list in January.

Fabregas has only started one Premier League match this season and he does not seem to fit into the 3-4-3 system implemented by new manager Antonio Conte.

According to The Times, Chelsea are now willing to let the 29-year-old leave Stamford Bridge on loan when the transfer window reopens.

The same newspaper also report that the Blues may even subsidise the player’s wages to give Conte the best chance of moving him on, which would then enable him to bring in a replacement.

Fabregas is currently paid £156,000 per week, per the Daily Star.

That figure seems outrageous for a player who can no longer get in the first team.

However, just over a year ago Fabregas was in the form of his life. During the 2014-15 campaign, the former Arsenal captain scored three goals and provided 18 assists to fire Chelsea to their fourth Premier League title.
