Manchester United have been beaten 2-1 by Fenerbahce in their Europa League group-stage clash this evening.
Jose Mourinho’s side got off to the worst possible start after an acrobatic piece of brilliance from Moussa Sow put the home side ahead.

The Turkish side then doubled their lead through former Sunderland winger Jeremain Lens. He fired past the helpless David De Gea with a free-kick from 25-yards-out. David Beckham would have been proud of this one.

United did hit back through captain Wayne Rooney, but it proved to be too little, too late. Rooney received the ball 25-yards from goal and fired an absolute thunderbolt into the back of the Fenerbahce net. This is what you call vintage Wayne Rooney – we simply do not see it often enough nowadays.
How about that?! @WayneRooney pulls one back for @ManUtd with a brilliant strike. ? #UEL #FENMUN https://t.co/7i9kQ5Kp6u
