Manchester United suffered a 2-1 defeat against Fenerbahce in the Europa League at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium on Thursday evening.

To make matters worse Paul Pogba was forced off after getting injured in the first-half and will miss the Premier League clash against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Things could be about to get even worse as Zlatan Ibrahimovic faces the prospect of retrospective punishment after replays showed him holding Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer by the throat according to the Sun.

The referee missed the incident and did not punish Ibrahimovic for the incident but the experienced striker could still face punishment for his actions.

Ibrahimovic got his United career off to a great start scoring five times in five games.

The United forward did however, fail to score against Fenerbahce and has now gone six games without scoring a goal – his worst goal scoring form of his career.
