Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has urged the Red Devils fans to keep faith with Jose Mourinho, according to the Mirror.
The Red Devil’s have been in disappointing form of late, winning just two of their last seven games. United succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Fenerbahce in the Europa League during the week and were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Burnley last weekend.
Jose Mourinho’s side find themselves in eight place with 15 points after eight games. United are eight points behind league leaders and rivals Manchester City.
However, Fellaini has insisted that the players fully back the controversial manager and wants fans to do the same.
“Every player trusts him, his philosophy and we have to follow him,” Fellaini told the Mirror.
“We trust him. He’s here to win things. He’s a manager with a lot of motivation, he wants to win, and that’s what we need.
“But to build a team you need time. I think we have the right manager and we have to give him the confidence and the time he needs.
“The fans want victories, they want good football, but I think the victories will come, we are not far away and we have to keep going.”
According to the Mirror, Mourinho spent over £140 million on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Red Devils take on Swansea City this weekend in the Premier League as they look to return to winning ways.
