Second place Brighton will hope to build on their stunning 5-0 win over Norwich last time out when they Bristol City in the late kick off while Huddersfield face a tricky test at home to 7th place Birmingham.
Wolves will continue life with Walter Zenga, with a tricky home clash against Derby County.
The West Midlands side parted company after just 4 wins in their opening 14 games and drew with Blackburn under the caretaker guidance of interim manager Rob Edwards last time out.
The club are currently 17th in the table, just three points above the relegation zone although such is the competitive nature of the division they are just 7 points off the final play off place.
Derby meanwhile are two places below them but will be looking to continue their improvement under new manager Steve McLaren, who returned to the club following Nigel Pearson’s exit.
The Rams beat Sheffield Wednesday in their outing for only their 4th win of the campaign although more importantly it was a second win in four suggesting they are on the up.
Norwich face a tricky test against a Leeds side with three wins from five. Alex Neil’s side can ill afford to slip up as they chase Newcastle at the top, however Garry Monk’s side have improved in recent weeks.
The Canaries will hope to avoid a third successive league defeat this weekend while Reading with just one defeat in five, could move into the top three if they beat Wigan and other results go their way.
Jaap Stam is slowly finding his feet in the Championship as Royals manager and a playoff place looks within their sights.
Elsewhere Forest take on QPR, Aston Villa host Blackburn, Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich Town travel to Sheffield Wednesday, Burton face Barnsley and bottom of the table Rotherham, with just one win all season, take on Preston.
