Manchester United confirmed line-up vs Swansea City: Changes galore as Mourinho oversees defensive overhaul

Manchester United will hope to bounce back with a strong performance against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

As part of that bid to respond, Jose Mourinho has made several changes to his line-up with Ashley Young, Phil Jones and Matteo Darmian joining Marcos Rojo in the United defence.

Further up the field, Michael Carrick partners Marouane Fellaini, with Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney providing the attacking threat behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

United head into the encounter in eighth place in the Premier League table, eight points adrift of the top four after another disappointing run of form has left them behind their rivals.

Following their defeat in the Europa League at the hands of Fenerbahce on Thursday night, the pressure is really on both Mourinho and his players and it remains to be seen whether or not the changes make a difference and inspire United to a much-improved display and result.
