Arsenal summer signing Granit Xhaka has taken to social media to heap praise on his teammates and fans following their 1-1 draw with Tottenham in the north London derby.
The Gunners were a goal up going into the break following an own goal by Kevin Wimmer. However, the visitors levelled the scoreline shortly from the Penalty spot after the break when Moussa Dembele was brought down in the box by Laurent Koscielny.
Arsenal were unable to find the winning goal in the closing minutes of the second half while Tottenham came close to snatching all points when Christian Eriksen hit the post from a free-kick.
Xhaka shared a photo oh himself during the game on his official Instagram page along with the following caption, “My first passionate London derby not the result we would have liked but fair result and great support from our fans as always.”
The Gunners dropped down to forth place in the Premier League following today’s result and find themselves two points behind leaders Liverpool.
