Tottenham team news: Pochettino handed huge double boost with key duo ready to start against Arsenal

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has reportedly passed a late fitness test and will start against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The influential forward has been sidelined since September after picking up an ankle injury in the win over Sunderland, and had been facing a race against time to recover for the north London derby.

Spurs were optimistic that he would be available for selection, and according to The Independent, it appears as though he will be involved, and potentially even in the starting line-up to face the Gunners.

It will be a huge boost for Pochettino who has seen his side now go without a win in their last six games, having scored just three goals in that period.

An impressive run of scoring from Heung-Min Son masked their issues early on without their talismanic striker as Vincent Janssen has continued to struggle, but they will be delighted to have Kane back after his lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, The Independent add that Mousa Dembele is also expected to recover and feature after picking up a knock in midweek, and that will certainly be welcome news for Spurs supporters who will hope to see their side end their barren recent run against their arch rivals.

Arsenal are unbeaten in the last three north London derbies, winning the League Cup encounter last season while both league meetings ended in draws.
