(Video) BBC pundit critical of Jose Mourinho’s outdated views and digging out Man United players

Despise seeing his side return to winning ways on Sunday, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was left far from impressed with two individuals in his squad.

As reported by Sky Sports, the Portuguese tactician questioned the courage of certain players in the United squad to play through the pain barrier and make themselves available for him.

Given that United won away at Swansea City on Sunday to end a poor run of form, you’d think it would have improved his mood and led to some praise being dished out across the board.

Instead, it was Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw who bore the brunt of Mourinho’s frustration, but as seen in the video below, Alan Shearer believes that it’s a huge contrast to the way in which the former Chelsea boss acted in his first spell at Stamford Bridge and believes he needs to catch up with the way in which the game has changed over recent years.

While Mourinho was probably more than aware of it in the time since he left Chelsea the first time, it’s the constant public criticism of his players that is baffling to most.

Many would agree that he would be better off saving it for the dressing room in a private discussion, but Mourinho seems more than happy to share his thoughts with the media and it’s difficult to see how that’s benefiting his players.
