Arsenal have taken to social media to share a video interview with their star playmaker Mesut Ozil.
The snippet of the interview consists of Ozil looking back at his international debut for the Germany national team.
Ozil recalls his shorts being a little too big and remembers the controversy surrounding his decision to play for Germany due to his Turkish heritage.
The 28-year-old has been in impressive form for Arsenal this season with four assists and seven goals in 12 appearances for the Gunners. Ozil also scored a stunning goal in the UEFA Champions League against Ludogorets last week.
However, the former Real Madrid man was unable to add to his goal tally agaisnt Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham on Sunday but did provide the assist to Kevin Wimmer’s own goal.
Germany boss Joachim Low has decided to rest the likes of Mesut Ozil this week and has instead opted to select an experimental squad.
