La Liga superstar drops big Manchester United hint as he eyes reunion with international teammate

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has revealed that he regularly asks Paul Pogba about life at Manchester United as he opened the door for a future move.

Since making the move from Real Sociedad to the Spanish capital in 2014, the French international had gone on to develop into one of the top players in Europe.

With 65 goals in 120 appearances for Atleti, he is undoubtedly an integral part of their success, and they will be concerned about his latest comments when discussing his friendship with Pogba and the fact that he hopes for a reunion with his international teammate at club level.

“I always ask Paul Pogba about Manchester United,” Griezmann was quoted as saying in the Daily Star. I think they are a huge club with a really good infrastructure.

“I ask Paul about some of the players, and if they’re really that good, or if Jose Mourinho is really that good.

“You hear a lot of things (speculation) about Manchester United and Paris St Germain but right now I don’t see me moving to a new club. But it would be awesome to play alongside Paul one day.”

United broke the world transfer record to sign Pogba for £89m this past summer, as noted by Sky Sports, and it would take another sizeable offer to prise Griezmann away from Atleti.

Whether or not he’s a target for the club remains to seen, but ultimately the Frenchman has left the door open to a possible move to Old Trafford in the future and it will be welcome news for the Red Devils who will want to continue to add world-class talent to their squad in the upcoming transfer windows to continue the work started by Jose Mourinho in the summer.
