Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has reassured supporters that his eye issue is nothing serious and isn’t effecting his ability to play.
The Belgian shot-stopper is currently on international duty and was seen on the bench for the friendly with the Netherlands on Wednesday night with a severely blood-shot eye, as seen in the image below.
However, as pointed out by respected journalist Kristof Terreur, it wasn’t a new issue as Courtois was seen with the eye issue in the win over Everton last weekend.

Courtois took to Twitter to clear up the issue too by insisting that it had been going on for two weeks and isn’t effecting his ability to train or play.
The 24-year-old will hope that it doesn’t worsen which in turn could force him to miss playing time, but ultimately he has allayed any fears that it’s anything serious and is adamant that it’s not going to adversely affect his performance if selected for country or club in the next week or so.
Everything's ok with my eye, had it for 2 weeks and doesn't effect my goalkeeping ???
