Liverpool are looking to build on their success in the summer transfer market by raiding the German league once again.
The Reds, who signed Sadio Mane, Joel Matip and Loris Karius amongst others in the summer, are interested in Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah according to a story in today’s Mirror.
Klopp’s previous swoop for a Bundesliga defender produced Joel Matip, who is earning good reviews for his solid performances for his new club.
Now Liverpool are keen to capitalise on that success by securing Tah’s signature to shore up their central defence.
Tah only joined Leverkusen from Hamburg last summer, for around £7m. But a great season last time out and a solid start this term has raised interest from around Europe again.
Tah is one of the modern breed of centrebacks- fast, strong and great on the ball. He’s showed what he can do in the Europa League too. Liverpool seems like it would be a great next step for the German international.
