Arsenal’s season on the brink after losing another key piece to injury

Arsenal will be without Hector Bellerin for around four weeks with an ankle injury, according to news reported by ESPN.

Arsene Wenger confirmed in his press conference today that the Spanish full back had taken a knock on his ankle at the very end of the North London Derby against Tottenham.

It comes at the worst possible time for Arsenal, who play Manchester United on Saturday in this week’s prestige Premier League fixture, followed by a huge game against PSG in the Champions League midweek.

The news has compounded the confirmation that Santi Cazorla, who has been missing from the team for almost a month, will also not be returning anytime soon.

Arsenal are still a huge threat without these two, and should still be confident against a Manchester United side who have struggled against the top sides. But these two losses certainly represent at the very least a chink in the Gunners’ armour – one Jose Mourinho will be all too happy to exploit.
