Arsenal star Mesut Ozil was given the international period off by Germany head coach Joachim Low.
Ozil visited Istanbul in Turkey over his short break where he met up with friends and family.
The 28-year-old is a Germany international but his family are Turkish and he regularly visits the country where he is a popular celebrity.
Ozil returned to Arsenal training in high spirits and revealed that he has gained new energy ahead of the clash against Premier League giants Manchester United on Saturday.
