Liverpool have had a penalty appeal turned down during their Premier League clash with Southampton this afternoon.
With the scores level at St. Mary’s, Roberto Firmino took a tumble under the challenge of Virgil Van Dijk. The referee was having none of it, though, and waved away appeals for a penalty.
There didn’t appear to be a lot of contact on the Brazilian, but he had little reason to go to ground in what could have been a dangerous position for his side.
Should Jurgen Klopp’s side have been awarded a penalty?
