Manchester United broke the deadlock at Old Trafford on Saturday with Juan Mata rounding off a great team move to give the hosts the lead against Arsenal.
The Gunners haven’t won away at United since September 2006, and after a poor opening hour to the game, they were made to pay as Mata struck with a wonderfully controlled effort which he rifled into the back of the net.

The goal now puts Arsenal’s 16-game unbeaten run at real risk as they struggled throughout the game to carve open clear-cut chances, as their miserable form at Old Trafford looks set to continue.
Provided that the result stays the same, it won’t reflect well on Arsene Wenger or his players, as doubts will now start to emerge once again over their Premier League title chances and ability to produce in the big games to make a statement of intent.
In contrast, United will be desperate for all three points to close the gap on the top four and ease the early pressure on Jose Mourinho.
