AS Monaco vs Tottenham Hotspur: confirmed starting lineups

Posted by

Tottenham visit AS Monaco this evening in a bid to keep their Champions League dream alive.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have accumulated just four points from their first four group games and now find themselves in real danger of being eliminated from the competition.

Spurs sit in third place in group E, three points behind Bayer Leverkusen and four behind tonight’s opponents Monaco. With the two sides above them facing each other in gameweek six, there is still hope that they can progress – but nothing but a victory tonight will do.

Harry Winks has kept his place after scoring in his side’s 3-2 win over West Ham at the weekend, with Christian Eriksen dropping to the bench after a stuttering start to the campaign.

There’s two changes at the back as Kieran Tripper and Kevin Wimmer replace Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen.

A familiar face starts upfront for Monaco. Radamel Falcao, formerly of Manchester United and Chelsea, will be looking to leave his mark on another English side tonight.

AS Monaco starting XI: Subasic, Sidibe, Glik, Jemerson, Mendy, Bernardo Silva, Tavares, Bakayoko, Lemar, Falcao, Germain.

Tottenham Hotspur starting XI: Lloris, Trippier, Dier, Wimmer, Rose, Wanyama, Dembele, Alli, Winks, Son, Kane.
