Chelsea and Manchester United scouts in Portugal to watch super talent play Real Madrid

Tonight’s lineup of Champions League games is not a classic. Sevilla against Juventus could be interesting, and Tottenham possibly being knocked out by Monaco will also be entertaining for some. But largely it is a mundane set of games.

One match that will have plenty of Europe’s scouts in attendance is Real Madrid’s trip to Lisbon to play Sporting.

Sporting have produced a plethora of stars over the years – not least Cristiano Ronaldo, who will line up against them tonight.

The player currently attracting attention is winger Gelson Martins. According to the Sun, scouts from Chelsea, Man United and Man City will be in attendance tonight to cast an eye over him and see how he does against top players.

The 21 year old has broken into the Sporting team this season and is even now making starts for Portugal. With this in mind, any team interested in the attacker would do well to try and seal the deal before the wonderkid’s price rises any higher. With Barcelona and Bayern Munich also apparently joining the clubs watching him tonight, that could be sooner rather than later.
