Raphael Varane has put Real Madrid ahead in their Champions League group F clash with Legia Warsaw this evening.
The current European champions are bidding to be the first team ever to successfully defend the trophy, but their campaign so far has not been straightforward.
Zinedine Zidane’s side were drawn in the same group as Borussia Dortmund, which has proved problematic and Los Blancos have a fight on their hands to finish as group leaders.
All they can do, though, is win tonight and hope that other results go their way. They’ve got off to a good start, as Varane capitalised on the loose ball to fire them into the lead.
