Tottenham defender Danny Rose has expressed regret over the actions that have lead to him being forced to miss this weekend’s London deby against Chelsea.
The Spurs defender got his fifth yellow card of the season against West Ham, ruling him out of this weekend’s crunch game with a suspension.
The full-back has also added huge pressure to his teammates, given that Toby Alderweireld and Ben Davies – two of the potential replacements for Rose at left back, are also out.
“I was aware that I was on four bookings,” Rose admitted. “It was just a stupid foul.”
Rose is keen for a chance at revenge after Chelsea mounted an unexpected 2 goal comeback last season to draw 2-2 and end Tottenham’s hopes of beating Leicester to the title.
But he’ll have to wait till later in the season for his shot at the Blues.
Tottenham exited the Champions League last night with another loss against Monaco, adding extra fuel to the fixture this weekend.
